Entry  BROWN � A private letter from Benares informs us of the demise of Major General Clements Brown, C.B., commanding the Benares Division, at the above station, on the 25th April. The gallant Major General, it appears, had been ailing for a few days, from a bilious attack, which eventually proved fatal.
