Inscription  In Memory of Ebeneezer Gordon Munro, eldest son of the late Lieut.-Colonel John Munro, of the Bengal Arty. He was born on the 10th of November, 1814. He was accidentally shot by a native attendant when in pursuit of a wild Buffalo at the Elephant Plains near Newera Ellia .... in the 27th year of his age.
