Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Colr. A. McPherson, H.M. 50th Regiment, Knight of the Legion of Honour, who was accidently shot at this station...... while performing the duties of assistant Instructor in Musketry, aged 38 years. This stone was erected by his comrade Soldiers as a token of their regard and esteem.
