Inscription  Sacred to the memory of Private William Mason, aged 20, of the 90th L.Infantry, and Thos. Richley, Seaman, aged 33, of the Hon. E I C Service, who were unfortunately upset in a boat and drowned in the Harbour while returning from the Hon'ble E I C C Surveying tender Cardiva on the night of the 10th Oct, 1837.
