Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Charles Chaston Assey, Esq., of the Medical Establishment of this Presidency, and Chief Secretary to the British Govt. of Java, until the restoration of that Island. He died at Calcutta, 21st March 1821, aged 41 years. Esteemed for his talents, beloved for his virtues.
