Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of andrew Allan, a Lieut. In the H.C. 2d Bat. 25th Regt. B.N.I., and a Sub-Assistant Commissary General, who departed this life 23d of August 1819, aged 34 years. To mark their respect for his principles and intelligent zeal in the public service, and their esteem for his virtues which endeared him to a large circle of friends, the officers of his corps have caused this Monument to be erected over his remains.
