Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Major Harris Nicholson, of the 15th Regiment N.I., late Paymaster to the Bengal Division of Troops serving under Major General Sir A. Campbell, K.C.B., in Ava, who departed this life on the 20th of Dec. 1826, aged 40 years, 9 months and 13 days. By the death of Major Nicholson, the Army has lost a brave and zealous officer , and many of its members, a generous-hearted friend; whilst among his own immediate relatives his loss is most sincerely and deeply felt.
