He was an enterprising and scientific individual, and believed to be the first who introduced Morton's useful invention. He was a mild and amiable in his manners, died after a residence of seventeen years in this country, esteemed and lamented by all who knew him. The following is the epitaph over him;- Andrew Bowie, Esq., died 17th Sept. 1835, aged 45 years. |
