Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Elizabeth, wife of Samuel Smith, who departed this life at Calcutta on the 18th December 1821, aged 24 years. Resigned in all things to the will of the Almighty, Her afflicted husband bows submissive to the decree that has deprived him of the mother of his infant daughter, an affectionate wife, and an amiable companion, after a short but happy union of twenty months.
