Detail  Aged 42, Capt. Henry Barry, 71st Bengal Nat. Inf. and for many years commandant of the Arracan Local Battalion. He fell at the head of his regiment, while on march from Rangoon to Prome, haivng been suddenly attacked by a body of Burmese concealed in a dense forest. Captain Barry was second son of the late Major-Gen. Barry, of Ballyclough, co. Cork.
