Detail  Killed, in a skirmish with the Burmese, near Prome, aged 32, Capt. Edward Cornwall Gardner, 40th Bengal Nat. Inf. He was the third son of Lieut.-Gen. the Hon. W.H. Gardner, by Eliza-Lydia, the 3d dau. of Lt.-Gen. Wm. Fyers. He married in 1842 Louisa, 2d dau. of John Bonamy, esq. of Guernsey, and has left issue.
