Detail  Pages 105-106. Aged 78, Capt. Hugh Brodie, of Helensburgh, near Dumbarton... In 1809 he was in India with the field force in the ceded districts, and in 1814 he joined the field force under General Doveton. He died gresatly regretted as a useful member of society, and as a devoted churchman.
