Detail  At Southampton, aged 37, Lieut. Edward James Lloyd Cooper, R.N. late of H.M. ships Herald and Plover, on his return from the Arctic Expedition. He was the third son of the late Sir George Cooper, Puisne Judge at Madras, by Mary-Justina, dau. of Colonel Lloyd, of Dale Castle, co. Pembroke. He entered the navy in 1827 on board the Victor 18; was made Lieut. 1842, and had since served in the Ringdove 16, Caledonia 120, and Herald 36.
