Detail  At Bath, aged 84, General John Sullivan Wood, Lieutenant of the Tower of London. He was made Major in the 21st Light Drag. 1795; Lieut.-Col. in the army 1796; in the 8th drag. 1808; colonel in the army 1805; Major-General 1810. When holding that rank he was for some time on the staff in the East Indies, and was actively employed in the Nepual war. He became Lieut.-General 1819, and General 1837.
