Detail  [At Kenilworth House, Cheltenham, in his 78th year. Younger son of Sir John Coghill, Bt. by Mary, dau. of Josiah Hort, Archbishop of Tuam. Succeeded his brother as baronet in 1817 and assumed the name of Coghill instead of Cramer. Served in the East Indies as captain's servant, 1782-86. In 1802 took command of the Rattlesnake sloop in the East Indies and with two boats under his orders destroyed after a bloody battle a pirate vessel on the coast of Malacca]
