Detail  Colonel Alexander Campbell, K.H. and C.B. who have very recently arrived in England from India. He entered the army as a cornet in the year 1806. At the memorable battle of Sobraon, on the 10th Feb. 1846, he commanded the 2d cavalry brigade. In 1846 he received the brevet rank of Colonel.
