Detail  [At Ipsden House, Oxfordshire, aged 73. Only son of George Reade, esq. by Anne, dau. of the Rev. William Thomas, vicar of Northstoke, and Ipsden. Married in 1796 Anna Maria, eldest dau. of Major John Scott (who afterwards took the name of Waring), MP, 7 sons & 3 daus. including John Thurlow, magistrate and collector for Saharunpore, died unmarried in 1827; George Edward, also in the EIC CS, who died unmarried at Calcutta in 1816; Henry Jonathan, of the EIC cavalry, who was killed in an engagement with a party of Mahratta horse, in 1821; and Edward Anderdon, of the EIC CS, who married in 1838 Eliza, dau. of the late J. Burnard, esq. of Crewkerne]
