Detail  At Cheltenham, aged 71, the Hon. Andrew Ramsay. He was the fifth son of George eighth Earl of Dalhousie, by Elizabeth, daughter of Andrew Glen, esq. He was placed on the civil establishment of Bengal in 1790, and on his passage out was wrecked in the Winterton East Indiaman, lost on the coast of Madagascar in Aug. 1792. He was afterwards assistant to the resident at Benares, and married in 1800 Miss Rachel Cook of Rampore, in that province, by whom he had issue.
