Detail  [Pages 201-202. At Florence, aged 67, son of the late Hon. Marcus Annesley, esq. of co. Down. Appointed Assistant Surgeon in 1799, reached Madras in 1800. Ill health, was in England 1805-07. Accompanied the expedition to Java in 1811 as doctor for the 78th Regiment. Remained in India until 1824. Back in India in 1829 as Superintendent Surgeon, and in 1832 a member of the Medical Board, and was president when he retired in January 1838. Knighted 1844. Married in 1809 a daughter of Wiliam Oliver, esq. of co. Limerick]
