Detail  Jan. 23, at Ferozepore, aged 35, Capt. John Francis Egerton, of the Bengal Artillery, and and Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General (Feb. 28, 1845). He was appointed First Lieut. in the artillery May 31, 1838, and Captain June 16, 1841, and was employed in the surveying department on the N.W. frontier.
