Detail  Aged 68, Lieut.-Gen. Sir James Kearney, K.C.H. He entered the army in 1794, at the early age of 16, served in the East and West Indies, and was in the expedition to Walcheren, in 1809 -- at the capture of Flushing and Middleburgh, as well as with the army in France. In January, 1843, he succeeded the Marquess of Anglesey as Colonel of the 7th Hussars.
