Detail  Officers slain in India. Aged 53, Lieut.-Col. Lewis Bruce, of the 12th Bengal Native Infantry. He lost an arm during this action [battle of Ferozeshah], and died at Ferozepore, on the 31st Dec. He attained the rank of Captain June 4, 1823.
