Detail  At Portstewart, Thomas Pottinger, esq. formerly a Captain in the 8th Royal Irish Dragoons, and aide-de-camp to Gen. Sir G. Nugent, when commander of the forces in India. He was the father of the late Major E. Pottinger, the hero of Herat, and liberator of the Cabool captives.
