Register Entry  Sir Edward Symes, Chief Secretary to the Government of Burmah died at 8.30am this morning. He had attempted to take his life by shooting himself having for years been suffering from a complete nervous breakdown the result of years of exhausting work especially during the troubled years following the annexation of Upper Burmah (more)
