He urged his claim for compensation, but with no satisfactory result. If this could now be obtained as a special case (and it seems clearly due to him either by the Government of India or hte Peninsular and Oriental Company), it would be a great boon, and would defray what has been expended by myself in funearl and other expenses, he having died only just clear of debt. |
