If any property left, and in what custody  Household property - camp equipage and camp property, and two horses, made over to Mr J Winterscale, of Calcutta, at the request of the Administrator General. Personal property, viz a gold watch and chain, trinkets, diamond ring and �100 in gold, sent on by Peninsular and Oriental Company to England.    
Remarks  Accompanying letter: ""With deep regret I have to forward, for submission to the Government of India, the accompanying mortuary return of the late Mr Nicholas Thomas Davey, Deputy Superindentendent of Revenue Survey, 2nd gfrade, who died in the Harbour of Madras on the 3rd instant on board hte Peninsular and Oriental Companyh's steamer. in him the Government has lost an excellent, hard working and conscientious officer.""
