He had seen much service in India, having been present at the Burmese war, with the 41st Foot; at the capture of Rangoon, the engagements in front of that place, at the attack on Kimindine and Pagodd Point, the capture of Fort Syriam, and the storming of the works in front of the Dagon Pagodd. He was found dead in bed by his servant. |
