Detail  In Paris, Lady William Bentinck. She was Lady Mary Acheson, second daughter of Arthur first Earl of Gosford; was married in 1803 to the late Lord William Bentinck, Governor-general of India, brother to the Duke of Portland, and left a widow in 1839, having had no issue. Her ladyship had the honour for many years of being the personal friend of her Majesty the Queen of the French, and of her Royal Highness Mde. Adelaide.
