Detail  [Pages 548-552. Born 20 Feb 1768 near Langholm, Dumfriesshire. Robert Malcolm's sons were noted in the obituary of Sir John Malcolm in this magazine, July 1833, page 81. Robert, the eldest, who died a few years ago, was high in the civil service of the EIC. Sir John Malcolm was noted for his military and diplomatic services in India. David was in a commercial house in India. Pulteney Malcolm himself involved in operations in the East Indies. He married 18 Jan 1809 Clementina, eldest daughter of the Hon. William Fullerton Elphinstone, Director of the EIC]
