Chambers, Bart. (?) Commander R.N. He was son of Sir Robert Chambers, Knt., commander of the lazaretto ship Alexander, stationed at the Motherbank, who died Sept. 4, 1807. He served as a midshipman of the Sceptre, 64, on the East India station, and when that ship was wrecked in 1799, was fortunately on shore. He became Lieut. 1805, and Commander 1815. He married July 27, 1815, Isabella, widow of T. Scott, esq. of Calcutta. |
