William Sawyer, Chaplain on the Hon. E.I. Company's Madras Establishment. Prior to his appointment to this chaplaincy, he was engaged as a Church missionary at Madrss, and continuing to feel a great interest in that cause, he was, at the time of his decease, making a tour among the missionary stations on the coast of Malabar, where he was taken ill, and died in a few days, to the deep-felt loss of his wife and friends. Mr S. was nephew to the Rev. J. Graham, of York. |
