The data are transcribed from the book compiled by Charles Prinsep published by Truebner & Co in 1885.

Summary of Service  1828: Writer. 1831: Second Assistant to the Principal Collector, South Arcot. 1832: Acting Assistant Judge and Joint Criminal Judge, Chingleput; Acting Head Assistant to Principal Collector and Magistrate, South Arcot. 1833: Head Assistant to Principal Collector and Magistrate, South Arcot. 1837: Acting Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, and Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, South Arcot. 1839: Proceeded to Europe on furlough. 1843: Acting Sub-Secretary to the Board of Revenue; Commissioner for Government Lotteries; and Deputy Collector, Madras. 1845: Assistant Judge, Calicut; Secretary to the Board of Revenue; and Acting Tamil Translator. 1850: Secretary to Government in Revenue and Judicial Departments. 1855: Chief Secretary to Government. 1857: Proceeded to Europe on private affairs. 1862: Additional, afterwards Provincial, and then Member of Council of Fort St. George. 1866: Knight Commander of the Star of India, 25th May 1867: Resigned the service, 29th October. (Annuitant.)
