Comment	These are summaries of the Services of Service of Madras Civil Servants entering the Service from 1740 to 1858. Evidently, several of them continued to serve beyond this date. The data are transcribed from the book compiled by Charles Prinsep published by Truebner & Co in 1885.

	Summary of Service	1804: Writer. 1807: Assistant to the Collector of the Zillah of Chittor. 1809: Head Assistant to the Collector of the Zillah of Bellary. 1814: Head Assistant to the Collector of the Zillah of Chingleput. 1815: French Translator to Government. 1816: Deputy Collector of Madras. 1820: Secretary to the Mint Committee; Superintendent of the Issue and Custody of Stationery. 1821: Collector and Magistrate of Masuilpatam, and in Cherge of the Treasury there. Died, 2d January 1824, at Madras.
