Summary of Service  1783: Writer; Assistant to the Secretary to the Select Committee. 1786: Assistant to the Secretary in the Military Department, Mahratta Translator, and Deputy Commissary-General. 1787 : Under the Secretary in the Public and Revenue Department. 1790 : Secretary to the Board of Assumed Revenue. 1792: Temporary Member of the Board of Assumed Revenue. 1793: Deputy Secretary in the Public, Commercial, and Revenue Department. 1796: Secretary in the Public and Commercial Department, Clerk to the Court of Appeal, and to the Committee of Treasury. 1797 : Secretary to Government, and Mahratta Translator. 1800 : Chief Secretary to Government, and Mahratta Translator. 1801 : Resident at the Durbar of the Rajah of Mysore. 1803 : Resident at Nagpore. 1804: Resident at the Court of Dowlut Rao Scindia. Died, 9th November 1804, at Mussingabad, on the banks of the Nerbudda.
