Register Entry  On the 27th December Mr John de Faria only son of Sir Roger de Faria aged 31 years & 3 months Consular Agent here to HMFM the Queen of Portugal & Uncovenanted Assistant to the Collector of Customs in Bombay. Mr de Faria having made voyages to different places entered here the public service which he discharged with credit to himself and to the great satisfaction of his superiors and all thos who had occasion to have official transactions with his department. He was honest and of an upright character and beloved by thos who knew his worth. He has left an old and venerable Father and seven sisters in great affliction to bemoan his irreparable loss. His friends and acquaintances are numerous both here and abroad and he is sincerely regretted by them all
