MEMORIAL CEMETERY
This Memorial Cemetery was constructed by the Britishers in the memory of the one hun-
dred sixty six (166) soldiers/officers who died in the battlefield during the siege. Made
of stone it is an octagonal structure with four entrances, placed on a square recessed
platform capped by a dome. The dome is further capped by a christian cross. In front of
the main structure there is a stepped fountain, the inscription bearing the name of died people [.] presently kept at the Army British Cemetery near Cantonment, Sadar Bazar.
