Description

Sacred to the memory
of
Phoebe Flemming Carr
Wife of the late Garrison Sergt.
Major G. Carr of Allahabad
who died on the 8th June 1878
aged 47 years 4 months
____

Also in memory of her son
Geo. Fletcher Wall
who died on the 27th Augt. 1863
aged 10 years and 7 days
____

A sudden change in a short time fell
I had not time to bid my friends farewell
Make haste to Christ, make no delay
as no one knows his dying day

She is gone, she is gone
to the region of light.
She was with us this evening
She's in Heaven tonight
Though to part with our mother
is a trial severe
It is better that she should be yonder
than here.

This tomb is erected by her
dutiful son
